More Austin startups can now look to crowdfunding

Three new Texas-based equity crowd funding platforms launched Wednesday. The websites — DreamFunded.com, TexasCrowdfunding.com and Texas.TruCrowd.com — differ from the more widely known crowdfunding sites such as Kickstarter in that they offer investors an actual stake in the ventures they fund rather than rewards-based investor incentives offered by Kickstarter. [Three new Texas equity crowdfunding websites launch: Austin Business Journal]

Skoop Events will track SXSW

EmBazaar has launched a social network designed to collect and provide unofficial information about South By Southwest.
