Refresh Austin Web Design and Developer Meetup, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m.

Join Refresh Austin this Tuesday evening for its first meetup of 2018. Meetings from this point forward will try out a new format that is less formal and held at local bars. Tuesday’s meetup will be held at The Gingerman on Lavaca Street. Come network and enjoy a beer.

 

WINE NOT: Learn how to do killer AdWords marketing on a startup budget, Jan. 31 at 5 p.m.

Galvanize will host a session on the basic concepts of creating a Google AdWords marketing campaign that doesn’t waste your budget. The agenda will include an audit of a startup’s existing AdWords campaign and a live setup of a new one. Plus wine and cheese will be served.

 

EdTech Austin Welcome Back Planning Event, Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m.

Head to the Capital Factory on Wednesday for EdTech Austin’s meetup. Wednesday’s session will include a meet and greet happy hour with local educators, a keynote address and two hours of planning with other startups and educators. The event will be held on the first floor in the Wall-E classroom.

 

How to Close the Gender Gap, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m.

RetailMeNot is hosting the AnitaB.Org Austin meetup this Wednesday for a discussion on how you can close the pay gap for yourself. Wherever you’re at in your professional career, you’re encouraged to attend. Food and refreshments will be provided, compliments of RetailMeNot.

 

Austin ONA Tech-Journalism Series: Doing Cool Things With Data, Feb. 1 at 6:30 p.m.

Hacks Hackers Austin will head to Austin Online News Association Chapter’s event this Thursday at data.world. The event will include a panel of Austin journalists discussing how they use data in reporting. Representatives from Texas State, the Statesman, the Texas Tribune and GateHouse Media will participate. Employees from data.world will also share how journalists can utilize their platform. Pizza and beer will be provided.
