Austin DevOps invites you to join them to listen to guest speakers from RetailMeNot and GitHub who will discuss their site reliability engineering experiences. Sung Kang, of RetailMeNot, will speak on the operational challenges of a growing engineering team. GitHub’s Jessica Lucci will speak to the company’s SRE philosophies as well as how they’ve used those philosophies to address challenges. The event will be held at Rackspace.
Women Who Code Austin’s Hacking Hangout, April 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Women Who Code Austin will host their Hacking Hangout session this Monday night in Ordoro’s office at 106 E. 6th St. This event is part of a monthly programming study group. Coders of all levels are welcomed to attend. Please bring your computer. Food and drinks will be provided.
LegalZoom’s Sales Open House, April 10 at 10 a.m.
Austin-based legal tech company LegalZoom is hiring for inside sales specialists. Interested applicants can meet hiring managers and tour the office at one of of two sessions this Thursday, at 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. Please bring your resume with you!
Coding Interview Practice, April 11 at 7 p.m.
Austin Hispanic Hackers Meetup will host a session to help you practice your whiteboard coding chops during interviews. Folks who would like to be interviewed will be assigned slots on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those who would prefer to observe and take notes are encouraged to attend. This event will take place at Capital Factory on the 16th floor.
A Conversation and Celebration of the Entrepreneurs Who Shape Texas, April 13 at 3 p.m.
Texas Spirit will take place this Friday afternoon at Rowling Hall, UT’s new space on campus. Students, alumni and members from the local business community are encouraged to attend. The event will showcase entrepreneurship and innovation in the craft beverage industry with guest speakers, breakout panels and a tasting reception.
