Acquisitions of Chicago digital companies remained strong with 6 acquisitions last quarter. So far 22 digital companies have been acquired this year. This tops last year's high of 18 acquistions.
Venture capital activity in Chicago was down in the third quarter of 2012. However, the third quarter of 2011 was by far the lowest quarter for funding as well.
