At Cisco's Global Manufacturing Business Transformation Office (BTO), we're leading the integration of AI and ML into our supply chain processes. Our team is on a quest to harness advanced technologies for business transformation in key areas like order fulfillment and inventory management. We're in search of a seasoned Technical Program Manager (TPM) to spearhead our AI/ML initiatives, ensuring they align with our strategic vision and deliver tangible value.

What You'll Do

As a TPM within our BTO, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the end-to-end program management of AI/ML and associated software development projects, aligning them with Cisco's strategic business goals.
  • Collaborating with the Data Science and Innovation (DS&I) team, consisting of data scientists, data engineers, and other technical experts, to drive innovative solutions in supply chain operations.
  • Engaging with Business Leaders: You'll actively collaborate with business leaders and partners across the supply chain to drive alignment on project goals. Your role involves collecting and assessing requests for adjustments in our AI and data science projects, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Planning with Technical Insight: With your in-depth understanding of MLOps, the machine learning lifecycle, data architecture, and software development, you will be instrumental in planning and guiding our projects from their initial stages right through to successful deployment.
  • Employing strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills to navigate project challenges, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of team members.

Who You Are

An experienced TPM with a deep understanding of AI/ML and software development, you bring a blend of technical skill and leadership prowess, characterized by:

  • A proven track record in technical program management, particularly in AI/ML or software development.
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, with a gift for impactful communication across technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, driving multi-functional teams to deliver complex projects efficiently.
  • A collaborative leadership mentality, continuously seeking insights from customers, team members, and market trends to further learning and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on AI/ML or software development
  • 2+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or managing full product life-cycles

Preferred Requirements

  • Deep familiarity with supply chain management and Cisco's business transformation objectives
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Certifications in Project Management or Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams and deliver complex technical projects on time and within budget

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. The recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
