The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing new applications, modules, and features, as well as modifying and maintaining existing applications in response to business and technology needs, under the supervision of the Team Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy Python-based microservices to support our platform's functionality and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency across the codebase.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a timely manner.
Essential Requirements:
- 4-7 years of hands-on software development experience preferred in a Linux environment with a focus on Python.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and experience building and deploying microservices-based applications.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Work with minimal supervision on analysis tasks, and with little or no supervision on development tasks.
- Understand of development best practices and standards (design pattern, PEP-8, etc.)
- Strong understanding of AGILE and SCRUM methodologies
- Solid experience in Git and branching
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Potentially to become hybrid next year, availability to go to the office once a week if necessary.
