SUMMARY

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Strategic Pricing & Analytics, this role will focus on the delivery and execution of best-in-class pricing strategies and execution across the Covetrus portfolio. The role will work with and support key internal customers across Product Management, Commercial, and Finance functions. Key areas of focus will include SKU level product pricing strategy, New offer pricing, Category level price guidance and price governance, Pricing analytics, and Pricing process and systems as applicable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

In order to be successful in this role, the Sr. Manager | Manager will need to be adept in driving projects and initiatives in the following areas:

  • Pricing Strategy - Align pricing with the category | product offering, the category go-to-market (GTM) strategy, build out pricing strategies incorporating customer and channel segmentation to maximize gross profit | customer growth and retention.
  • New Offering Pricing - Incorporate value propositions and competitive analysis, build business cases to drive pricing strategies to help in launching successful offerings.
  • Price Guidance and Governance - Leverage pricing theory and practice in the development of category | product price guidance and establish a robust price governance process for major portfolios.
  • Pricing Analytics - Use Advance analytical techniques and financial modeling to analyze and develop key pricing and profit realization initiatives. Able to create KPI tracking to drive business results (revenues, profit, units, product mix, YoY trends, win rates, etc.).
  • Pricing Process and Tools - Build out consistent and impactful processes and tools that improve and accelerate decision making across portfolio, channel, and customer pricing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and | or Experience

  • Quantitative undergraduate degree (Engineering, Business, Economics, Math, etc.)
  • MBA | MS Analytics Preferred
  • 5 to 7+ years of experience within a matrixed Fortune 500 company
  • 3 to 5+ years of advanced pricing | analytics | and or product management experience within one or more Fortune 500 organizations

In order to be successful in this role, the candidate will need to be adept in the following areas:

  • Communication and Influencing - Ability to communicate verbally and in written form in a way that creates strong impact and builds partnership buy-in across the broader Finance, Product Management, and the Commercial organization.
  • Analytics and Critical Thinking - The ability to critically consider a situation, develop hypotheses and analysis, establish potential options, create a recommendation, and drive execution across the enterprise.
  • Technology - The ability to adapt and learn various technology systems for data analysis, advanced Excel is a must, SQL | Tableau preferred, Experience in advanced statistical analysis | R etc. would be a definite plus.
  • Personal Drive - Willingness to go the extra mile in support of initiatives that drive significant profit growth across the enterprise.
  • Inquisitive - The ability to dive into ambiguous situations and ask insightful questions in order to identify obscure opportunities.
  • Change Management - Adaptable and comfortable operating in a highly fluid environment with changing and evolving organizational priorities.

  • Work demands will be focused on in-office and remote work, primarily consisting of meetings with team, peers, and partners.
  • Up to 10% travel possible depending on work and opportunity.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows.

$86,300.00 - $160,300.00
