Job Summary
This position performs independent level work in program design and evaluation of assigned areas. Assures a positive impact on productivity and performance of Sales Personnel through effective research, design, development, and evaluation of training activities. The position provides critical support to the Sales Department by ensuring effective New Hire training and uptraining of existing sales agents to contribute to business success.
Responsibilities
- Partners with Design, Delivery, and Product Management Teams on upcoming training requirements
- Determines course objectives and assesses the most effective method to achieve an objective
- Designs work flows according to needs analysis
- Leads design projects, including computer-based, management development, and technical projects
- Designs, develops, and conducts initial training needs analysis and delivers training as part of a train the trainer or pilot of new programs
- Conducts training programs utilizing of variety of teaching methods [lecture, conference, group discussion, web-based], to provide requisite training
- Consults with internal customers to diagnose and analyze performance and training-related needs
- Establishes and maintains alliances with colleges and universities to identify alternate training design and delivery methodology
- Maintains and updates a library of training and reference materials and web-based content
- Provides team leadership, direction, and coordination of other designers within the team
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary
Qualifications
- BA or BS in Instructional Design, Technology, Education, Psychology, Communications, or a closely related field, or 4-6 years in the field of Instructional Design with a working knowledge of Web-Based Training design
- Knowledgeable in a wide variety of adult learning strategies and approaches, competency identification skills, information search skills, model building skills, and questioning skills.
- Proficient in the design and development process
- Industry Knowledge
- Expert skill level in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop, and other training development applications
- Competent in the following software: Flash, HTML, and other Web-based development applications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Strong presentation and written communication skills
