As the Senior Director of Data Engineering, you will lead a dynamic global team of machine learning and artificial intelligence engineers, driving the hyper-adoption of innovative solutions in the field of digital identity. Overseeing engineering teams in Serbia, India, the USA, and Colombia, you will be instrumental in creating 10+ new use cases each year, explicitly mitigating IRSF risks and enhancing identity verification using Telesign Score. Additionally, you will champion implementing and managing federated machine learning practices to optimize collaboration across regions while maintaining data privacy and security.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Global Strategic Leadership:
    • Provide visionary leadership on a global scale for the hyper-adoption of ML/AI solutions, focusing on addressing IRSF challenges and optimizing identity verification using Telesign Score.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to align global ML/AI initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • International Team Management:
    • Build and lead high-performing engineering teams across multiple countries, fostering a culture of innovation and hyper-adoption of digital identity solutions.
    • Drive the creation of 10+ new use cases annually, leveraging the collective expertise of diverse teams in Serbia, India, the USA, and Colombia.
  • Federated ML Implementation:
    • Spearheaded the implementation of federated machine learning practices to enhance collaboration across global teams while ensuring data privacy and security.
    • Develop and implement efficient model training and deployment strategies in a federated environment, optimizing performance across diverse regions.
  • Technology Vision:
    • Define and communicate a clear technology vision for the rapid adoption of ML/AI in digital identity solutions globally, emphasizing IRSF risk reduction, advanced verification techniques using tools such as Telesign Score, and federated ML management.
  • Project Oversight:
    • Oversee the entire lifecycle of ML/AI projects, ensuring they contribute to the hyper-adoption of solutions, address IRSF risks, and align with Telesign Score methodologies across diverse geographical locations.
    • Ensure the creation and successful implementation of 10+ new use cases each year, utilizing federated ML management principles.
  • Cross-Cultural Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams across diverse cultural contexts to facilitate the rapid adoption of ML/AI solutions globally, focusing on IRSF prevention, Telesign Score optimization, and the creation of innovative use cases using federated ML practices.
  • Global Risk Management:
    • Assess and mitigate global risks associated with ML/AI technologies, particularly in the context of IRSF and identity verification, ensuring solutions are adopted with a risk-aware approach in a federated ML environment.
  • International Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to digital identity, IRSF prevention, and identity verification using Telesign Score, ensuring ML/AI solutions adhere to these standards across various jurisdictions and within the framework of federated ML practices.


Job requirements:

  • Educational Background:
    • Advanced degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
  • Global Leadership Experience:
    • 10+ years of global leadership experience in developing and implementing ML/AI solutions, specifically in digital identity, IRSF mitigation, identity verification using tools like Telesign Score, and federated ML management.
    • Significant experience managing and leading international, cross-cultural technical teams.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and computer vision.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts related to IRSF mitigation, identity verification technologies, and federated ML practices to technical and non-technical stakeholders globally.
  • Global Leadership Qualities:
    • Strong global leadership and people management skills.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team across regions to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • In-depth knowledge of digital identity technologies, cybersecurity, and emerging trends in ML/AI, with a specific focus on IRSF prevention, identity verification, and driving hyper-adoption through creating new use cases globally, leveraging federated ML management principles.
