Principal Software Engineer

Description
Striim is looking for a Principal Software Engineer who is ready to dive-in for a great learning experience in a truly start-up environment and want to make an impact for our Pivot to SaaS initiative. We are trying to solve ambiguous problems by leveraging the latest technologies and bringing more value to our customers. As we are a start-up one will have the privilege to work on full end to end functionality. You will have the opportunity to work with experienced and passionate engineers. We believe in working hard and playing hard.
Responsibilities
As a Principal Software engineer you will design, develop, and debug software for distributed systems. In this role, you will be a leading contributor both individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others
Requirements
- 9-16 years of experience with advanced level understanding of Logical, Object-oriented design patterns, algorithms, data structures and distributed
- Extensive knowledge of application access methods including authentication mechanisms, API quota limits, as well as different endpoint REST, Java etc
- Must thrive in databases - SQL Program and DB internals
- Exposure in Cloud database (RDS, CloudSQL, Google BigQuery, Snowflake)
- Work experience in any cloud environment and microservices based architecture utilizing GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCl, Azure or similar technologies.
- Technical background in either of data integration, query processing or stream processing.
- Expertise in collaborating with different teams to solve problems and debugging/troubleshooting software.
- Should thrive working in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other engineers
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Application verticals such as ERP, CRM and Sales
- Expertise on Data warehouse (ETL) and developing, delivering product as SaaS
- Background in working with enterprise customers.
- Experience in SQL, ETL, Golden Gate
