Essential Functions:

  • Implement, maintain, and review full cycle payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, variable payments, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Create W2s and resolve employee discrepancies, calculate corrections and submit amendments.
  • Facilitate audits and reconciliations to ensure accurate data for the payroll & routine compliance audits.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years payroll experience
  • 1+ year Workday payroll experience
  • 1 year management experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to remain flexible and calm in a changing environment

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced, professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to talk, read, hear, sit, and use your hands to type.
