Lead QA Analyst

They review product specifications and assist in developing effective test strategies. They help the project team prioritize fixes, estimate bug impacts, and refine existing approaches.
Lead QA Analysts at Work & Co are responsible for the end-to-end testing of complete, interactive web and mobile applications. Lead QA Analysts consistently manage the testing of complex projects independently. They drive the definition, preparation, and execution of testing strategies, developing effective plans, and selecting appropriate tools to ensure product goals are met. They contribute actively to our quality standards and practices and collaborate closely with other disciplines to help deliver the highest quality products.
Teams at Work & Co are small and highly senior. Lead QA Analysts work alongside company partners, the top designers and technologists in the industry, and with category-defining clients.
What You Will Do
- Analyze business requirements, design documentation, and technical specifications
- Develop QA Brief and other QA documentation (test sets, test cases, etc) that ensure full coverage of all requirements
- Perform functional, visual, smoke, regression, accessibility, exploratory, and performance testing
- Track and report defects and change requests through to a successful conclusion
- Facilitate the release management process for project deliveries
- Communicate priorities and detailed reproduction steps to stakeholders
- Assist in the User Acceptance Testing process for clients
- Represent QA team in client meetings
- Assist QA Directors in developing the team roadmap
- Mentor and support more junior team members, on and off projects
- Assist in the recruitment process
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams
We Are Looking For
- Experience leading small teams of QA Analysts
- Experience testing highly interactive web and mobile applications in an agency environment
- Ability to evaluate websites and mobile apps against accessibility standards (i.e. Section 508/WCAG)
- Experience working with API technologies such as Postman, Swagger, and Newman
- Experience with work tracking tools (i.e. JIRA)
- Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance principles, inspection techniques, and testing procedures (such as test case generation, and bug triage)
- Hands-on experience in automated testing using JavaScript
- Ability to organize and plan automated testing in an Agile project
- In-depth knowledge and experience of working with any of the following libraries - Cucumber, Gherkin, Mocha, Cypress, Playwright, Detox or WebDriver
- Experience with GitHub and integrating with CI/CD pipelines
- Technical experience in screening, triaging, and categorizing defects
- Deep knowledge of cross-platform/browser compatibility testing methodologies
- Deep understanding of mobile operating systems and applications
- Experience working with tools such as Charles, and Xcode
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
