Job Description

Ensuring availability of stock from our IPSUK warehouse for our client publishers and to help the sales team achieve their goals.

Working closely across various Ingram Content departments, as well as with client publishers, on both stock and metadata whilst also continuously assessing processes, policies and systems for improvements; streamlining and updating where appropriate

Working as part of a small team, this is a varied role which requires excellent organisational skills and a strong sense of initiative.

Essential Job Duties:



  • Inventory and stock management: tasks include regular stock ordering from our US warehouse; tracking shipments and publisher-direct shipments and monitoring stock availability for new publications.
  • Compiles and transforms raw data into meaningful and useful reports to reveal Financial, Sales and Operational performance insights and to enable effective strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Produces regular, periodic and ad-hoc reports for sales associates, clients and senior management.
  • Performs various information-gathering tasks such as backlist analysis, retail analysis, industry trends analysis, historical sales volume, product availability, and demand forecasting for presentation to clients or sales associates.
  • Coordinates day-to-day maintenance of sales tracking projection system, sales rep and publisher coding.
  • Works alongside the IPSUK Integrations Team on client on-boarding and off-boarding operational processes
  • Working with the Inventory Management team on identifying publisher opportunities for printing via LSI
  • Creates and maintains effective and streamlined operational policies and procedures to ensure they will satisfy customer and client publisher requirements and providing recommendations for process improvements where necessary.
  • Conducts regular updates with clients and internal associate to ensure deadlines and timelines are being met.
  • Defines and monitors processes within internal warehouse operations and I.T. teams to ensure they are in place and will satisfy IPSUK customer and Client Publisher requirements.
  • Collaborating with the data feed teams to ensure internal feeds are correctly working for full service clients out of our IPSUK warehouse
  • Managing metadata with external partners
  • Working with publisher client managers and publishers to assist with publisher queries
  • Other duties as assigned
  • To be responsible for your own Health and Safety and be aware of factors affecting your colleagues in order to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications (Typical Experience, Typical Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):

Experience: 

  • 3 years experience in an operations or inventory environment in an analytical role

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or year for year related experience

Skills: 

  • Highly proficient and confident in Excel
  • High attention to detail
  • Extensive organisational skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Prioritisation and time management skills
  • Process and project monitoring skills
  • Knowledge of organisation, operating procedures, and policies of the company
  • Ability to work to a deadline.
