Growth Marketer
About the position
Pubmark, the parent company of the BookBub and Chirp brands, is looking for an experienced performance-oriented digital marketer to join our growth marketing team. You will own the customer acquisition strategy, implementation, optimization, and reporting for various digital marketing channels. You have achieved success across multiple paid ad platforms, understand the consumer journey, and love testing new ads, audiences, and landing pages to continuously improve performance. Additionally, you’re comfortable with achieving ambitious goals and taking ownership of our marketing approach and results.
Here's an example of what someone can expect to accomplish in their first year:
- Manage and optimize all facets of various paid marketing channels including targeting, bidding, budgeting, account structure, etc.
- Provide regular strategic recommendations for paid marketing channels, and plan and test new initiatives with the goal of efficiently increasing user growth
- Contribute to cross-functional projects with analytics, product, engineering, and design to meet ambitious growth targets, ensuring timely execution, nimble adaptation, and delivery of key learnings
- Create and optimize ads; write headlines and copy, and collaborate with our design team on images to improve channel performance
- Maintain dashboards of advertising performance metrics, analyze the impact of owned marketing channels, and represent insights/learnings cross-functionally in a variety of settings
- Design and execute conversion optimization tests across our digital experience
Ideal candidates for this position will have:
- Deep expertise in growth or performance marketing (3-6 years preferred) at a consumer, high-growth company or performance agency (direct response experience a plus)
- Demonstrated knowledge of at least 2 paid media platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads), with experience optimizing ad campaigns for efficiency (e.g. CPA, CAC, ROAS)
- Experience testing new paid advertising channels or ad products, from conception through execution
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to analyze and interpret data; proficient in Excel and familiar with BI tools (e.g Looker, Tableau, PowerBI) — expertise with BI tools is a plus!
- Experience working with web analytics, A/B testing tools, and ad tracking
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and willingness to take on new challenges
- Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to work seamlessly in a team environment

Remote work flexibility
Please note: for this role, we are considering remote candidates who are located in the following states: MA, RI, ME, PA, MD, and IL. Other locations to be reviewed upon request.
Our team has choose-where-you-work flexibility that allows you to choose a predominantly remote, hybrid, or in-office setup at our office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We’ll help each team member figure out the work set up that’s best for them, including WFH equipment or a dedicated desk space in our office.
Most of our teams currently operate with a hybrid model, with some people working full- or part-time from the office, and some from home. We value and prioritize collaboration across mediums and spaces, and we invest in ensuring that meetings and other forms of collaboration are set up with equal access regardless of where you work.
