The Position
Roche Molecular Systems, Inc. seeks a Product Manager in its Santa Clara, California location.
Work with patients, clinicians, and IT administrators at healthcare provider settings, as well as broader clinical care delivery teams, to understand, analyze, and assess customer pain points and clinical care solution opportunities that are most impactful for acute care delivery. Collaborate with International Business Leader and Business Product Managers at Roche to build strategies and product roadmaps for clinical care solution products. Gain deep understanding of end user use cases and respective product requirements, and provide technical insights to Roche's business and design teams so they can rapidly prototype new product ideas and obtain user feedback. Work closely with the UI/UX (user interface/user experience) team to design elegant user experiences that help solve customers' pain points. Translate high-level functional requirements into user stories and system-level requirements in collaboration with Roche architecture and software engineering teams, as well as data services teams. Prioritize user stories for sprints and make trade-off decisions. Support product development teams during each product release cycle by clarifying product requirements, determining product feature priorities, reviewing product test plans, and determining release schedules. Assess data access requirements for various use cases to ensure data privacy and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines. Support on-site implementation of product with clinical and IT staff at the premises of deployment as need be. Work from home permitted with onsite requirement of approximately 1 week per quarter. Travel (approx. 20%) Domestic and International, fully reimbursed.
Education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience as a Product Manager or Owner or a closely related role.
Alternative education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Product Manager or Owner or a closely related role.
Special Requirements: Full tenure of experience with each of the following:
- Health data interoperability and information regulatory requirements, including HIPAA;
- Application of Agile and Scrum principles for software development;
- Big data products and Analytics;
- User Experience (UX) design);
- Statistics, machine learning, and deep learning;
- Technical or product roadmap development.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of California is $229,258 to $260,400 per year. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
