Role

Reorg is seeking a dedicated Software Engineer, Mobile, to craft and refine our mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms, serving as a key player in our mission to deliver unparalleled credit market intelligence. This position is based in our Bogotá, CO office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of advanced applications for the Android and iOS platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, build, test, and realize new features.
  • Uphold and enhance code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Contribute to continuous evaluation, discovery, and implementation of new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Ensure robust and responsive user experiences by addressing and rectifying performance issues.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of mobile app development, including Android SDK, Swift, and/or Objective-C.
  • Proficiency in at least one core programming language (Kotlin for Android; Swift for iOS).
  • Experience with mobile development frameworks and tools such as React Native, Xamarin, etc.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning tools (like Instruments and Shark, depending on platform).
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning and build tools, such as Git and Gradle.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong passion for mobile technologies.

Preferred

  • Experience in a DevOps environment, utilizing CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of mobile app security best practices.
  • Prior work with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration into mobile applications.
