Summary of Job:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Kargo you will play a pivotal role within one of our multidisciplinary platform teams. You'll help drive product development and get to leverage your expertise to propel our platforms and systems forward, ensuring they effectively scale to meet growing data demands.
You will be involved in the full lifecycle of platform development, from ideation to architectural decisions through to delivery of high quality, best in class product features which give our team and customers the edge in the market.
Responsibilities:

• Architecting and developing highly scalable and efficient systems to deliver millions of dynamic ads for clients, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Processing and analyzing billions of data points to provide actionable insights for our clients' social media campaigns, facilitating campaign optimization and decision-making.
• Building and maintaining monitoring systems that enable proactive response to changes, ensuring the stability and reliability of our platforms.
• Mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance and support to foster their growth and development within the team.
• Contributing to the recruitment and hiring process by participating in candidate interviews, assessing technical skills, and helping build a strong and diverse engineering team.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, and drive innovation and excellence in software development practices.

Who You Are:

• You have a minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in similar Software Engineering roles.
• Expertise in a major modern programming language is required. Some we currently work with are JavaScript, NodeJS, Ruby, Golang and Python but experience with other languages is also valued.
• Having a deep understanding of modern front-end technologies, particularly React, is advantageous.
• Proficient in cloud technologies such as AWS and Dockerized Kubernetes environments.
• You are adept at transforming loosely defined concepts into production-ready solutions, overseeing architecture planning, development, and testing processes.
• Extensive experience in conducting code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
• You exhibit empathy and value collaboration as key drivers of success.
• Possess excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills, enabling you to articulate complex design concepts persuasively.
• You have a track record of collaborating effectively with product teams and designers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• You maintain a growth mindset and are committed to continuous learning and improvement, regardless of your level of experience.
