Before you prototype, have a plan

Rapid Prototyping is on the forefront of almost every industry these days.  Whether it's an industry leader that wants to improve their manufacturing process to drive down cost and increase efficiency, or an entrepreneur that is on the brink of developing the next gadget.  They are praising different mediums of rapid prototyping such as additive manufacturing and subtractive manufacturing.  All of these innovative types of manufacturing are leading this new industrial advantage in creating prototypes and finished products at a more rapid speed, lending to better designed models and cheaper development.

Creating a prototype is much like executing a business plan.  The finished product is what's going to be marketed and create a cash flow back to the owner.  Though, you can't execute a business plan without the nitty-gritty of figuring out a business model, financials, org structure, legal, and so forth. Once you create that business plan, you should be able to hand it off to any experience entrepreneur and within a year have a fully functioning business.

Creating a physical prototype is creating a business.  Before you hand your idea to a machinist or a manufacturing company, you must first have the plan in order.  Spec3D has inserted itself as the orchestrator of creating the metaphorical business plan.  Except, where Spec3D comes in is developing the CAD file which will be executed by the manufacturing people. Spec3D offers the capabilities of developing a 3D representation of a prototype, complete with dimensioning and file formats that are used in all modern rapid prototyping equipment and machinists.

So when you are ready to build your next prototype, consult with Spec3D to get the best plan for your prototype!
