The Forum: Stories That Create will host its second story telling event tomorrow, Wednesday April 10th, at Galvanize (1062 Delaware Street) from 7-8:30pm. The evening will center around three story tellers from the Green Spaces coworking space in RiNo.

The Forum: Stories That Create stands as a simple solution to a pervasive problem. Each day, thousands of worthwhile stories go untold—tales of daring, deception, heartbreak, and achievement. Stories that have the ability to free you and I to consider the world in a novel way and create something unique out of that perspective shift. Last October, I decided to stop waiting around for someone else to tell the stories I wanted to hear and began The Forum Stories to highlight Denver visionaries and entrepreneurs.

Perhaps you’ve noticed the seeming explosion of innovative startups in Denver. Our city is filled with people willing to make the terrifying jump of living life the way they want to live it. They choose to act on their dream for how things could be. These are story-worthy individuals and it is for them that The Forum exists. By creating a space for courageous and visionary people to explain why they’ve taken an unconventional path, we significantly increase the likelihood that innovation will continue in Denver. By sharing each other’s defeats and triumphs, we learn and inspire one another. That’s where you and I come in—we get to hear and spread these ideas!

Attending The Forum Stories is like jumping into the most interesting history book you’ve ever read. Instead of considering the quotes and past deeds of great individuals, we get the privilege of hearing from three local people who are actively shaping the history of our city. Not only that, but each session of The Forum strives for crowd interaction and leaves ample time for questions, mingling, and story swapping. Listening to such narratives forces us to ask questions of ourselves: Where do I want to go? What long-standing idea can I act on? How can I involve myself in the adventure unfolding around me?

If this message sounds overly simplified and optimistic, that’s ok—I dare you to prove me wrong! The next Forum is this Wednesday at Galvanize at 7pm—I’ll be the tall blond guy with an awkward hair cut. I would love for any and all Denverites to attend and share their thoughts on the experience.
