TrackVia today announced the passing of Denver's downtown tech torch—or in this case, a ski-lift chair—to LoHi Labs, another burgeoning tech company.
The tradition started last year when Denver-based ReadyTalk moved to larger offices and needed to part with the ski-lift chair that adorned its lobby. Rather than retire the ski chair – which had grown to symbolize ReadyTalk's award-winning company culture – the company decided to present it to TrackVia, makers of online software that allows business users to rapidly create their own purpose-built applications to better fit the needs of their department.
One of Denver's fastest-growing tech companies, TrackVia has experienced explosive growth. The company has grown revenue nearly 100 percent, doubled its employees and recently moved into larger office space at 1675 Larimer in downtown Denver. The company was also named one ofOutside Magazine's Best Places to work, and more recently learned it was selected as one of 50Colorado Companies to Watch for 2013.
The latest recipient of the ski chair, LoHi Labs is a mobile and web application development company focused on building high-end technology for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and the Web. LoHi Labs, represents a new era of companies taking advantage of the tremendous growth in the mobile applications industry. The company has worked with several of its startup peers including Plink, Club W, Lasso, AllergyPal and Power Pro Leasing to build innovative web and mobile applications. LoHi Labs is also gearing up to release its first internal product, an iPhone app called "Three Cents".

From participating in Denver Startup Week and community technology meet-ups, to engaging with other tech communities in the area, the three companies have played an instrumental role in driving growth of Denver's startup ecosystem, namely the tech sector.
