Local software design and development consultant thoughtbot is celebrating 2 years in Denver by giving back to the local Colorado community and hosting a competition for social good.
thoughtbot’s Cultivate Colorado challenge offers Colorado organizations the opportunity to win custom design and development of an app or product dedicated to solving a social or environmental issue (up to $150,000 value).
The selected entrant will work with thoughtbot designers and developers to design, build, and launch a digital product for social good in 2015.
"Our goal is to collaborate with a Colorado-based organization and utilize human-centered design practices to solve a difficult problem facing the community or world." says Andrew Cohen, the designer who spearheaded the challenge.
Since 2003 thoughtbot has been building web and mobile apps for a diverse client base. They have worked with 100+ organizations such as Yammer, Constant Contact, Autodesk, Realtor.com, and Ello. thoughtbot is known for it’s contribution to the global open source community and is excited to contribute to the local community with this Colorado-based challenge.
The deadline to apply to Cultivate Colorado is March 15th, 2015. Applicants must be a 501c3, B-Corp, or company with a social mission, located in Colorado. For addition information or to apply, visit cultivatecolorado.io.
