Last week I was lucky enough to help host the fifth annual Startups2Students fair, an event put on by CSUAC , the Computer Science student group at CU Boulder. We are pretty sure it's the largest startup career fair in the Boulder/Denver area. To compliment this, I helped build Startups2Students, an online platform where startups in Boulder and Denver can connect with students. We think there is a real gap between opportunities and startups and university talent, so we are trying to fix that. The fair had quite an incredible group of companies from both the whole region:

The event kicked off with a hilairious speech about "How you know when you work at a Startup" from Bart Lorang from FullContact, followed Ben Abell from Startup Summer and Greg GreenStreet from Gnip. After that, I had the pleasure of particpating in a panel about working at a startup because of my experience at PivotDesk. Then everyone got down to networking. In the past, the event was focused around just compuer science. This year, we expanded our efforts across campus and we had quite an impressive turnout of over 200 students.

The event also included pizza from a new Boulder food joint, Boss Lady Pizza.

It was truly an honor to be a part of the Startups2Students fair, and I look forward to making it bigger and better next year. You can find more information about the companies that particpated on the CSUAC website Let me know if you have any questions about the event or the website.
