Innosphere -- we are a non-profit 501(c)3 technology incubator with locations in Fort Collins and Golden, Colorado, and we are excited to announce that six new startup client companies have joined our entrepreneurial ecosystem at the beginning of 2014. In providing entrepreneurs with efficient and personalized growth strategies, we are able to provide client companies with a streamlined path to success.

Coming on the heels of the release of our 2013 annual report, weare continuing to create economic impact for the region by supporting high-tech startups. We are riding this momentum into 2014 and we are committed to attracting, incubating and graduating the most promising cleantech, bioscience and software companies that will grow the economy, create jobs and address some of the most critical issues facing our world today in energy, water, transportation and healthcare. This group of new clients are high-potential startups and we’re excited to be working with all of their impressive and qualified management teams.

The demand for business guidance across high-tech industries represents a huge growth opportunity for the Colorado region – economically, environmentally and socially. This first new group of 2014 client companies reaffirms that we have another exciting year ahead of supporting the innovation ecosystem and Colorado startups. These new companies come from all the industries Innosphere exists to support and include three clean technology companies, two software and one bioscience startup company.

New 2014 Bioscience company:

Kindara: Giving women and men the tools, knowledge and power to navigate their fertility with clarity and confidence. Kindara is a simple and elegant women's health app for iPhone, iPad, & iPod Touch. www.kindara.com

Kindara recently had great news as their app ranked number one on the App Store Free Medical Chart. This came after news broke that 10,000 women have gotten pregnant with the help of their app in the last 12 months alone.

Software companies:

30dB: A free opinion search and opinion publishing platform.  A user can drop any topic into the app and get back the aggregate positive and negative public opinion on that topic from social media. By using the interactive opinion widget to follow the trends, users are provided with an analyzed form of opinions from sources like Twitter, Facebook, blogs and Google+. www.30db.com

It’s been great working with 30dB, as we’re helping them with introductions to strategic investors and the Colorado angel investor community.

(e)Gauge: Offers a suite of web-based apps to help organizations align resources to grow. They offer tools to align three key components for growth which include, strategic planning/execution, talent/performance management, and process efficiency and productivity. www.e-Gauge.biz

(e)Gauge’s smaller clients have seen an average of 52% increase in revenues, with larger ones gaining 10-15%. This is great progress for their company and Innosphere is helping them get connected to software executives and customer discovery.

Clean Technology companies:

VAIREX air systems: A leading designer, manufacturer, and seller of high-performance air compressors for the global fuel cell and diesel emissions controls markets. VAIREX air systems consist of highly efficient regenerative blowers with integrated motors and controllers. http://vairex.com/

VAIREX is a Colorado-based manufacturer to major OEMs in the industrial, stationary, and telecom backup fuel cell markets. Innosphere will provide access to capital and advisory resources that will enable VAIREX to increase their exports into these global markets. It’s an exciting time for VAIREX as the stationary fuel cell industry is poised to grow rapidly due to increased adoption for grid stability.

WeatherCloud: A startup that utilizes automobiles as weather sensors to produce hyper-accurate, highly granular road weather forecasts. WeatherCloud’s vehicle-mounted sensors report three dozen metrics including wind direction/velocity, precipitation rate/type, tire slip/grip, pavement temperature/conditions, and visibility. WeatherCloud technology is the next step in intelligent transportation systems, increasing efficiencies, reducing accidents, and saving lives. http://weathercloud.co

The type of information that WeatherCloud will generate is currently unavailable to departments of transportation, telematics providers, and transportation services. Innosphere will support this compelling startup with industry, market, capital connectivity that will enable a national rollout of the WeatherCloud sensor array.

Prieto Battery: Founded by Dr. Amy Prieto as a spin out from Colorado State University, Prieto’s mission is to commercialize a patented three-dimensional (3D) Lithium-ion battery technology that delivers transformational performance at a competitive cost using non-toxic materials. http://prietobattery.com
