Quick Left, the Boulder-based software consultancy with a spot on the Inc. 500 fastest-growing company list, is at it again. This time Quick Left’s incessant growth is fueled by a merger with Sprintly, a SaaS management platform for software development.

With Sprintly’s team now a part of Quick Left, the company will grow from 25 to nearly 40 employees and will work from offices in San Francisco and Portland, in addition to Boulder. But the biggest news is that Quick Left will be adding a product arm to its company as a result of the merger: Sprintly will be the first product.

Now, Quick Left will have dedicated developers working on Sprintly, while still keeping consulting about 90 percent of Quick Left’s offerings. Ingrid Alongi, founder and CEO of Quick Left, will remain CEO of the company’s consulting arm while Sprintly Chief Strategy Officer Matt Work will step forward as Quick Left CEO.

The Sprintly and Quick Left teams met each other in 2013 while collaborating on client engagement, Quick Left Director of Marketing Rachel Scott said. Sprintly founder and CEO Joe Stump commented that “it would be great to have access to your developers” while working together and Quick Left CTO Sam Breed mentioned that his company wanted to get into product. From that point on, the executive teams started working out logistics.

“This has been a long time in the making,” Scott said. In fact, Quick Left’s own team didn’t even know about the merger until last week, the day before both teams met on a mountain retreat in Winter Park.

By announcing a merger via a ski retreat for the whole team, it is clear that although many things are changing this year, Quick Left will still retain its fun-loving, collaborative Colorado culture. To prove it, Alongi will be hosting monthly coffee meetings at Quick Left on the second Thursday of each month, starting next month, so that she “can still engage with our wonderful and supportive community here in Boulder and Denver.”
