New Denver-based organization rouses nationwide CEOs to think big

Ten prospective CEOs will arrive in Denver keen to start their next company through the new 10.10.10 program that takes place for the first time Downtown from February 18-28, 2014. The prospective CEOs will join industry experts, thought-leaders, venture capitalists, and community members for ten days Downtown.

The ten startup CEOs arrive, on Day 1, as cordial strangers with successful entrepreneurship as the single common thread between them. By day 10 they return home as friends and advisors for one another. Some may even become co-founders.

Their luggage will be stuffed with Denver souvenirs. With a little luck, a few will also take home with them a new company that they created during the program. Of, course, they may also choose to stay in Denver, Colorado and grow their nascent company here. It is rather nice here, after all.

Experienced entrepreneurs who are available to start a new company should apply to participate in the 10.10.10 program on the website 101010denver.com before December 31, 2013. Local and distant candidates are encouraged to apply.

Perfect 10.10.10 candidates have experience as the founder or co-founder of a previous venture capital-backed company that had a successful exit. They know what success looks like from start to finish. They have the skills to attract capital and talent and they know how to get the job done.

10.10.10 is neither an accelerator nor an incubator. 10.10.10 is a program like nothing you’ve ever seen before. 10.10.10 provides the CEOs with ten problems that have been researched and vetted for significant market opportunity. The new companies are formed around a product or service that is the solution to one of those vetted problems. Candidates come with startup leadership experience and an open mind. CEOs who already have a team, idea, product, or traction are not a fit for 10.10.10 like they would be if they were going to TechStars or Y Combinator.

Preparation for the February program is deep underway. 10.10.10 is inviting participation from sponsors and community members to watch, support, and cheer on the CEO candidates as they tackle some of the world’s most interesting problems. There will be many chances to connect with the CEOs in small and large events slated to occur during the ten day long week.

Save the date on February 27th to attend the 10.10.10 Demo Day - a public event - where the CEOs tell all about what they’ve discovered and uncovered during their stay in Denver.

About 10.10.10

A fast world is producing big opportunities and a growing pool of proven, talented entrepreneurs. 10.10.10 is here to match the best of both to solve problems that matter. 10.10.10 was founded by Tom Higley, a Denver-based entrepreneur who has been CEO eight times and a founder or co-founder in six of these companies. He has been a mentor in TechStars and Galvanize since the inception of each and has invested in more than two dozen companies over two decades.
