myStrength, Inc.™ participated in the August 25th, 26th and 27th Kick-off Celebration events for the Compassion Reaction initiative presented by Trillium Health Resources. Compassion Reaction is a community-wide reaction of kindness and compassion to address suicide, self-harm, bullying and substance abuse among young people.
Trillium Health Resources is committed to increasing mental health awareness within its schools and communities by applying Medicaid Reinvestment Dollars to give back. The Compassion Reaction initiative encompasses programs including myStrength, Rachel’s Challenge, Youth Move National, Youth Mental Health First Aid as well as education and training for schools administrators, teachers and the community.
Compassion Reaction will inspire, equip and empower a permanent positive change in local schools and communities. The August launch introduced Compassion Reaction to schools and communities in 24 counties in North Carolina at three main kickoff events.
Through the partnership between Trillium Health Resources and myStrength, Compassion Reaction will bring myStrength’s web and mobile applications to families, students, counselors and providers, offering a web-based approach to build resiliency, healthy coping skills as well as wellness and self-motivation.
myStrength offers clinically-proven mental health applications presented in a highly-engaging and consumer-friendly format. The resources available through the myStrength web and mobile applications reinforce the care that consumers are receiving and provide a high level of user engagement through unique and creative applications such as a personalized home page refreshed daily with interactive tools, applications and content tailored to the individual. These digital resources are evidence-based and offered through a HIPAA-compliant platform.
