Meetup Wednesday at Galvanize on New Crowdfunding and Capital Raising Laws! Free Beer & Wine!

Colorado Startup Lawyer and Cooley LLP will be hosting a meetup this Wednesday on the SEC's new rules for raising capital.

On July 10th, 2013, the SEC lifted the ban on general solicitation for private placements, making equity "crowdfunding" legal for the first time in about 80 years. While in some ways this was a huge victory for startups, the SEC also proposed a host of new rules that will make compliance when raising capital, through "crowdfunding" or other means, more rigorous than ever before.

These new laws impact any startup that's looking to raise capital going forward!

On August 14th at 6 pm, our group will host a small panel of experts to help you understand and navigate the new rules.
