Merely four and a half short years ago, AppIt Ventures was a small, innovative software startup striving to succeed in Denver’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Fast forward to today and through beneficial partnerships, valuable resources and years of hard work, we have become a rapidly growing app development company that is thriving in Denver’s burgeoning startup scene.
As an emergent startup in 2012, we were looking to veteran entrepreneurs for assistance and advice. We searched out partnerships that we felt would benefit us, attended events that we thought would supply us with valuable information and insights — and we never stopped developing. We are so fortunate, now, to be able to turn around and give back to the Denver startup community through sponsorships, partnerships and speaking engagements.
We are currently partnering with three local organizations in order to support the Denver startup community that helped shape us into who we are today — Innosphere, Rockies Venture Club (RVC) and Innovation Pavilion.
Innosphere is a high-tech incubator supporting entrepreneurs building high-growth companies in the industries of health innovation, life sciences, software and hardware, and energy and advanced materials. The program connects client companies with experienced advisors and strategic partners to help take their company to the next level. Innosphere refers entrepreneurs and companies that need app development to us and we help them develop a mobile solutions for their business. At AppIt Ventures, we feel it’s important for startups and small businesses to build custom software solutions that will enhance their business’ processes and functions. One of our team members, Elliott Lyons, attended Innosphere’s “Vendor Day” in July. “Vendor Day” was a speed-dating-like event in which Elliott was able to pitch AppIt to others in a one-on-one setting.
RVC is an angel group whose mission is to advance economic development in the Rocky Mountain region by actively connecting investors with the most-promising entrepreneurial companies. The organization offers educational opportunities for both angel investors and entrepreneurs and they host major conferences throughout the region, as well. AppIt has been proud to sponsor a couple of RVC events this year and our founder, Rob Carpenter, pitched AppIt Ventures to investors at RVC’s “Summer PitchFest” in August.
Innovation Pavilion, an ecosystem for entrepreneurs, is an environment which fosters the growth of entrepreneurial ideas and helps high-growth companies reach their potential. In October, Innovation Pavilion hosted a meet-up focusing on transportation in Internet of things (IoT) in Denver, and we were able to speak at this event, as well, allowing us the opportunity to offer valuable insights and expand our reach.
In the end, partnerships like the ones we have formed with Innosphere, RVC and Innovation Pavilion are important because they allow us to support the Denver startup community that supported us when we were starting out. We value our local partnerships and working with entrepreneurs and startups that share our values and have the same determination is always a rewarding experience. We are committed to serving the Denver community and look forward to continuing our partnerships and supporting the Denver startup community.
