How to Choose the Season's Best Webinar Topic

Is a great webinar on your marketing wishlist this holiday season? Do you want to boost your results and get more leads?

If so, you'll want to choose a great webinar topic. The first step in choosing a great webinar is considering your audience’s perspective. Although most marketer's first instinct is developing a topic that reels in as many leads as possible, it's not the best approach.

Casting a wide net will leave you with a lot of potential customers unhappy that you wasted their time, and the lack of qualified leads will only annoy your sales team.

When picking your topic, be laser focused. Avoid the temptation to develop a topic that appeals to the largest general audience. To really engage your audience, the webinar has to be specific to your customers' needs. If your company sells a product or service that would interest sales, marketing, HR, management, IT, etc., determine which vertical you want to target and work from there.

To take it a step further, you may want to run a webinar specifically for each vertical. It may sound like more work, but once you’ve developed the framework for your initial webinar, the extra time needed to re-purpose the webinar for different verticals is almost negligible compared to the return.

By taking this approach, you will ultimately generate much better leads and create a more satisfying experience for these potential customers.
