From concept to scale, entrepreneurs face a myriad of challenges throughout the start-up lifecycle. Here in Denver, the Galvanize team recognizes that one of the greatest challenges facing tech start-ups is finding skilled software developers. Partnering with one of the foremost leaders in Ruby on Rails education, Jeff Casimir (founder of Jumpstart Lab), we are excited to announce the launch of gSchool - a six-month, intensive, Ruby development course that will turn novices with little to no prior programming experience into skilled web developers.

Starting in January 2013, twenty-four students - selected from a pool of applicants -  will join the Galvanize community as part of our inaugural class. They will get their hands dirty with code and dig into building complex projects, including data processing/mining systems and integrations with Giihub/Twitter/Facebook.

This full-time program will immerse students in Galvanize's startup community, with 30+ start-up companies at their finger-tips and countless opportunities to learn and grow from our honorary members.

Built off of Casimir's proven Jumpstart Lab model, we are confident that each of our students will enter (or re-enter) the workforce and land a successful position in software development with a minimum annual salary amounting to $60,000 within 3 months of graduation - or we will reimburse all tuition paid (provided students meet certain conditions.)

The goal of gSchool is to help students change their lives and pursue their dreams of becoming professional software developers, while addressing the grave problem of startups finding software development talent. We can't wait to see what comes.

Applications are open now and close on December 3rd, apply today and get ready to immerse yourself in the Ruby world.
