Okay, I’m going to be frank here for a moment. There is a lot of hype about developers and business peeps at Startup Weekend, which can sometimes leave some designers in the dark. To really make everything work as a fully integrated amazing team, there needs to be a trifecta of awesomeness, which comes from the mesh of Hacker + Hustler + Hipster(?). Apparently that’s what the cool kids call it. The best idea will fail without someone to add some polish and flair, and Designers do this wonderfully well. Everyone working together as a team is how Startup Weekend projects get pulled off!
