myStrength Improves Mental Health Care Access for Missouri Residents Through New Partnership
-Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Health will launch myStrength’s mobile and web-based mental health resources statewide-
DENVER – The Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Health is partnering with digital behavioral health company myStrength to dramatically increase access to mental health services throughout the state. Thanks to a generous grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health, 30 community behavioral health providers with over 150 facilities throughout Missouri will have access to myStrength’s web and mobile-based resources and tools.
The evidence-based applications the company offers feature interactive tools, including step-by-step eLearning modules for managing depression, anxiety, stress and substance abuse. In Missouri, myStrength’s applications will complement the mental health and addictions treatment, primary care, and prevention services already offered by the state’s community behavioral health providers to more than 250,000 adults, children and families statewide.
“Technologies like myStrength will complement the existing models of care and allow our providers to extend additional access to evidence-based resources. These wellness and self-care tools benefit both consumers and their behavioral health providers by efficiently improving the delivery of vital health services and reaching more patients,” said Brent McGinty, President and CEO of Missouri Coalition for Community Behavioral Healthcare.
The highly unique collaboration will dramatically enhance the experience for patients seeking mental health treatment and improve the delivery of care to underserved populations, consumers living in rural areas and those who have inadequate access to primary and community health care services.
“This partnership is an exciting opportunity that will have a measurable impact in the way technology can transform mental health services to those in need,” said myStrength’s CEO, Scott Cousino. “This collaboration will allow us to put self-care tools into the hands of thousands of people, giving them an immediate extension of care, greatly complimenting the range of services currently provided by community behavioral providers across Missouri.”
myStrength’s solutions have been adopted by over 100 health care organizations across the United States, including the Ozark Center, which provides comprehensive behavioral health services to 14,000 clients in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas.
