Friday Recap:
This team is specializing with companies that have a lot of web infrastructure have to spend a lot of time integrating people into their API versus building their API. A couple examples that the team pointed out was SendGrid and Twilio. The team will essentially certify API community experts to work as a freelancer integrating the company products, empowering them and at the same time, freeing the business to work on product even more so.

What have they done in the past 24 hours?
  • Website complete, secured Gnip, SendGrid, Keen.io and a few others in the pipeline!
  • Market Research to Developers and Businesses, securing their idea in the space as competitive.
  • Kicked Ass and taken some names too.

APIXchange will allow developers from these business’ to invite other developers (experts if you will) from the community to help represent their product. These community developers will be representing the company as it relates to API integration. Right now if you want to integrate a company API, you are sent to their documentation. If any help is needed beyond that, it is a bit more difficult to grab a developer from that company. This application will allow developers to have allies and assistance while also assisting the company in having their developers working on other items.

This has pivoted slightly from Friday in that APIXchange will not be assisting so much for tech support, but more a sole focus on integration of the API. Their product will definitely become the best friend of developers in the community as well as the companies that work with them. HACK ON!
