Sara Simmons is head of people at BeatStars, an Austin-based marketplace for licensing and selling music. With more than 15 years of experience in HR and people operations, Simmons has previously held VP and director-level roles at FourKites, Refersion, CellKeeper and Mandarin Communications Group. Her past experience includes building teams and creating career paths for employees.

Simmons holds an MBA in international business from the American University in London and an SHRM-Certified Professional certification. She is a member of Harvard Business Review’s HBR Advisory Council.
