Orly Lobel is the director for the Center for Employment and Labor Policy and a Warren distinguished professor of law at the University of San Diego. Lobel has more than 15 years of law experience, specializing in the economics of human capital, and is also a senior academic advisor for the freelance platform Fiverr. She has authored three books, including Talent Wants to Be Free, You Don’t Own Me and her latest book, The Equality Machine: Harnessing Digital Tech for a Brighter, More Inclusive Future. Lobel holds a doctor of judicial sciences degree and a master’s of law degree from Harvard University.
