The Role:
We're looking for a strategically minded User Researcher to join our Product Design team as our first dedicated UX Researcher and strengthen our user centred product development.
This role will lead strategic research initiatives both across our product portfolio and within specific solution areas. Be a key partner in the development process, advocating for user-centric principles and ensure that research findings directly contribute to the success of our products.
We operate from a flexible hybrid model, that supports a healthy work-life balance. For this role, we're looking for candidates who live close to our Cambridge office.
Your Work at Redgate Software:
- Working closely with the Head of Product Design and the Lead Product Designers, translate development goals and strategies into actionable research opportunities
- Collaborate with Design and Product teams to translate research findings into actionable insights, providing guidance on leveraging these insights to drive informed product decisions and design improvements
- Identify, specify, manage, and execute both generative and evaluative research to inform product development
- Advocate for data informed decisions and develop quantitative research methodologies to complement our qualitative research practice.(can remove if needed, covered later)
- Continuously evaluate and refine research processes, staying up to date with industry trends and advancements to bring innovative practices to the team
Who You Are:
- Proven hands-on experience as a UX Researcher in a product environment
- Experience utilising a wide range of qualitative & quantitative research methods to identify and communicate customer needs and problems to cross-functional teams, focusing on key issues
- Proven track record of adapting research approaches based on project requirements and goals using lean and pragmatic approaches to achieve desired outcomes
- Strong critical-thinking skills, able to analyse complex problems and provide actionable insights
- Excellent communications skills including facilitation, able to adapt style and approach to effectively share research insights to different stakeholder levels
- Self-motivated, possessing drive and ability to work independently or across teams to get things done
Salary:
- Circa £60,000 to £65,000 depending on experience
