Staff Product Manager - Google Built-In
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center in Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum.

Collaboration among product management, program management, design, and engineering teams is essential for discovering and delivering effective solutions. We hold cross-functional product teams accountable for results and seek product managers who can influence teammates, stakeholders, and executives using data and logic.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy, definition, and development of our Google Built-In product integration. You will be responsible to lead the vision and roadmap of the work in concert with other product managers responsible for adjacent products. This role requires a strong influencer to align and inspire many stakeholders. You will report to a Senior Manager of Product Management for Companions and Platforms.
Google Automotive Services (GAS) is an exciting product that allows the user to bring their Google ecosystem into the vehicle's native experience. This established product requires working with a variety of Google and GM team to move the product to market.
What You'll Do:

  • Lead and collaborate with a large set of stakeholders to identify, build, and test customer value propositions.
  • Work with Google to understand their product vision, strategy, and roadmap while also aligning to our vision, roadmaps, and strategies.
  • Lead product decisions, requirements, and negotiations based on customer needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at GM and Google, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure product goals and priorities alignment.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and potential threats.
  • Define and track key metrics using KPCs and KPIs to measure product success and inform future decisions.
  • Communicate product updates, progress, and plans to stakeholders across the organization, including executives, customers, and partners.
  • Manage product launches, including developing go-to-market strategies and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Conduct post-launch analysis to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously iterate and improve the product based on user feedback, market trends, and business goals.
  • Communicate complex subjects in a simple and straightforward way.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior product team members, sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.


Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of product discovery and delivery methodologies
  • 7+ years of cross-functional experience working on customer-facing digital products as either a product manager, product designer or product engineer
  • Must have automotive digital product or design experience
  • Experience with product launch and Go-To-Market strategies
  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship
  • Experience working with external tech partners and managing those relationships


What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with Google Automotive Services or AAOS (Android Automotive Operating System)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in an Agile Software Development Process
