The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Compensation Analyst to oversee our compensation programs and strategies. The Senior Compensation Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing competitive and equitable compensation plans that align with our business objectives and support our talent management initiatives.
What you’ll do
- Compensation Strategy: Develop and implement compensation strategies and policies that support the organization's overall goals and objectives. Partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment between compensation programs and business priorities. Ensure pay structure and compensation programs provide the blueprint for how employees are compensated across the organization. Conduct research and analysis (quantitative & qualitative) of compensation issues including: cost analysis and financial impact on program changes, ad-hoc market data analysis, etc.
- Job Evaluation and Salary Benchmarking: Lead the job evaluation process to ensure accurate and consistent job leveling across the organization. Conduct market research and benchmarking studies to assess the competitiveness of our compensation programs, market trends and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Salary Structure Design: Design and maintain salary structures that are internally equitable and externally competitive. Develop guidelines and oversee operational processes for salary adjustments, promotions, and other compensation-related decisions.
- Equity: Manage equity compensation programs, including stock options, and restricted stock units (RSUs). Ensure equity programs are aligned with business objectives and market trends.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits. Stay updated on legislative changes and industry trends that may impact compensation practices including pay equity and transparency.
- Communication and Education: Develop communication materials and conduct training sessions to educate employees and managers on compensation-related topics, including compensation review cycles, salary structures, and bonus plans.
- Operational Support: Partner with recruiting and hiring managers to create offers for candidates and close top talent. Lead the annual and mid-year compensation review cycles. Partner with the broader people team and senior leadership to deliver key projects.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation management.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.
- Experience conducting job evaluations, salary benchmarking, and market analysis.
- Proficiency in compensation survey participation and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong excel and spreadsheet modeling/data-visualization experience (Tableau or other).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Good judgment and can balance business strategy, organizational context and data in driving toward solutions.
- Resourceful, motivated team player who can deal with ambiguity.
- BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).

Pay Transparency:
Salary for this role: $120,000-$138,000
The cash compensation above includes base salary, and is not reflective of potential commission for employees in eligible roles, or annual bonus targets under Route’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all Route employees are eligible to participate in Routes equity incentive plan to receive stock options per the terms of the agreement. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their career level, skills, experience, specific geographic location qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Route gives consumers the power to track all their orders in one place from any merchant.
With a Route integration, a consumer is able to carbon neutralize their package with green tracking and green package protection. If any issues arise, users can resolve an order issues within a few taps with resolve.
Additionally, Route partners with merchants to turn tracking into a brand-building opportunity, providing a full suite of ecommerce tools that easily integrates into their site, and allows merchants to optimize how their brand is discovered by shoppers worldwide.
