As a Solutions Engineer at LineVision, you will be the driving force behind innovative, data-informed solutions to grid challenges. Interacting closely with customers, you'll gain valuable insights into their challenges and needs, ensuring that our solutions are precisely tailored to address their specific requirements. Your technical expertise will be leveraged to advise both internal and external stakeholders to provide insights on LineVision's technology. You'll not only serve as a prominent industry voice through forums, presentations, and white papers but also play a pivotal role in enhancing existing offerings and driving the development of new ones.

What will you do?
Core Responsibilities and Key Performance Objectives

  • Become the go-to expert on our groundbreaking technology, empowering utility engineers and executives with insights on optimizing the grid using Dynamic Line Ratings and advanced conductor monitoring.
  • Lead in shaping both commercial and technical strategies, driving efficient, data-driven solutions to address major grid challenges head-on.
  • Get hands-on with customers' data, guiding them through project scopes and analyzing and communicating the results of past initiatives to drive future success.
  • Become a respected technical voice in the industry by actively participating in forums such as CIGRE and IEEE, delivering compelling presentations at industry events, and contributing to thought-provoking white papers.
  • Provide valuable feedback to directly influence our Product team, helping enhance existing offerings and innovate new solutions to meet customers' evolving needs.
  • Within Three Months:
    • Understand LineVision's applications and methodologies.
    • Support sales directors in pre-sales meetings. Build deliverables to support business cases for prospective projects.
    • Dive into our customers' data, analyze and communicate the results of the previous projects to inform future scope definition.
  • Within Six Months:
    • Provide commercial and technical direction, leading scope review meetings and technical deep dives with customers.
    • Regularly bring customer feedback to the product and technical teams to improve our offerings.
    • Support improvements to LineVision's scoping tools and other pre-sales tools.
  • Within a Year and Beyond:
    • Educate utility engineers and executives about creating a better grid with Dynamic Line Ratings and conductor monitoring.
    • Serve as a stakeholder for LineVision's process improvements and research & development projects.
    • Be a thought leader - share papers and presentations at industry events such as IEEE & CIGRE.

What do you need to succeed in this role?
- Background in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or comparable experience within the utility industry.
- Experience in utility engineering, with a focus on transmission operations, planning, or line design.
- Proven track record in commercial and technical strategies, preferably within the utility or energy sector.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate unique, complex problems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Interest in industry forums and events, with a demonstrated ability to influence industry direction.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through collaboration and innovation.
