Our Value Chain Management (VCM) organization is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Modelling Analyst to join our team. As a Data Modelling Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our VCM teams across the Small Molecule, Vaccines, and Biologics operating units. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement data models and analytics solutions to support our supply chain strategy and decision-making processes.
VCM is accountable for our company's Manufacturing Division product strategy aligned with Global Human Health brand/franchise goals and for leading continuous improvement of the product supply chain.
VCM work is strategic, spanning the entire life cycle of products, stabilizing the ongoing business through appropriate risk management and designing the supply chain for the future. The position is highly integrative and requires strong data analytics capabilities, solid business acumen, and project management skills to prioritize and drive results. The role also requires a high degree of team collaboration and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with VCM Leads and cross-functional teams to understand business processes and conceive data solutions tailored to their needs. Create and deploy bespoke end to end data analytics solutions in collaboration with Data Engineers and Business Analysts. Develop network capacity optimization models for Strategic Asset Management (SAM) using python. Pioneer value-adding analytic services and insights in collaboration with Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Technology, Quality, Regulatory, and Value Chain professionals. Collaborate with Finance Data and Analytics, our Digital organization, IT, and vendors to create sustainable platforms for delivery of analytic services. Stay current with industry best practices and trends, identifying experimental opportunities to advance the use of analytics in our organization. Support the standardization and improvement of VCM business processes. Lead cross-functional, global teams for short-term projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science/MIS, Business, Economics, Finance/Accounting, Data Science, or another scientific or technical field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or Strategic Analyst.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deploy end to end data solutions & applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python.
- Experience querying databases (SQL)
- Ability to create database architecture diagrams and understand relational data.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and teams with different priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large, complex data sets. The candidate should have skills in describing the problem, finding the data, designing the analysis/model, completing the analysis/model, and making recommendations based on the outputs.
- Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Qlik, Spotfire, or Power BI
- Proficiency in Office 365 Tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver).
- Experience with Long Range Operations Planning (LROP) and supply planning
- Experience with version control technologies such as Git and Github.
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud architectures.
- Understanding of mathematical modeling concepts such as linear algebra and/or convex optimization.
- Proficiency in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) with tools such as Datiku or PowerBI
- Strong cross-functional skills and business management/operations experience.
- Knowledge of functions that support the business, including Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, Technology, Quality, Compliance, Manufacturing Operations, and Commercial Operations.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$101,100.00 - $159,100.00
