Position Summary
PMA is seeking a Project Controls Engineer (scheduling/cost management) to provide project controls support services for our current infrastructure clients. This position will be a hybrid role.
In this role, you will be working on several large infrastructure projects developing, reviewing, and maintaining project schedules, project cost estimates, analysis of delays and potential claims, and creating and maintaining status reports. You will be monitoring project schedule progress, actual expenditures vs. budget, and all potential cost impacts; reviewing contractor and consultants’ invoices; identifying project risks; and supporting the development of weekly/monthly cost and status reports for the project teams.
Position Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor’s in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in developing, maintaining, and analyzing project costs, cost estimates, and schedules required.
- Experience with municipalities, transportation, transit, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- The candidate must be well organized, proactive, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The candidate must be able to organize data, develop presentations, and present to senior leadership clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in using Primavera P6 and MS Project required.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge in contract management, construction claims, change order processes, requisitions and purchase order procedures, and best practices preferred.
- Certifications from AACEI, PMI, CMAA, AGC, SAVE International, Oracle, or Microsoft preferred.
- Proficiency in standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
- Ability to work unsupervised and produce high-quality deliverables.

Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
