Job function
Leads others through influence to align Sustainability-related products, services and solutions in UL Solutions portfolio to market segments and prioritizes available resources, thereby driving clarity and efficiency in go-to-market execution.
Collaborates with product, solution, industry, services and business unit marketing functions and people to break down silos and bring the organization's full portfolio of Sustainability to market in a way that makes sense to buyers and sellers. Develops and understands target buyers and markets and distills information across the organization. Provides strategic direction on international go-to-market implementations, including leveraging content frameworks that attract and convert prospects and leads, enabling sales to facilitate positive customer experience and ensuring the effectiveness of how Sustainability portfolios are promoted and sold.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job responsibilities

  • International go-to-market strategy: Business and marketing goals definition - With the right vantage point, the go-to-market strategy is the unifying element that drives efficient execution and growth across the Sustainability portfolio of offerings. The essential needs are identifying knowledge that helps the organization grow and be relevant in a mature market, identifying unmet buyer needs in sustainability verticals and regions, and enabling feature and function rationalization to build new offerings. Responsibilities : Size and segment global markets, align UL Solutions Sustainability portfolio to buyer needs and align it with marketing, sales and product/service strategy.
  • Sustainability portfolio messaging and content: Shift from product to customer-centric - Ensuring that the organization delivers a consistent, buyer-focused message while continuously improving messaging with insights into the entire messaging cycle is critical. Messaging must continue to evolve through a full-circle messaging and content review driven by insights into how the messaging organization process is performing. Responsibilities : Understand differentiators to buyers and buying committees, implement buyer-centric messaging methodology, and facilitate alignment on target buyers.
  • Bringing offerings to market: Marketing, product/service, sales alignment - Bringing consistency through best practices that ensure organization readiness for faster time to market enables the organization to get to market faster, measures how quickly the organization ramps up to targets and allows for monitoring above/below plan measurement that can be used as a baseline for continuous improvement. Responsibilities : Establish launch tier model across the Sustainability portfolio, drive launch process and planning consistency, and develop launch governance.
  • Personas and buyer insights: Persona-based marketing commitment - Influence front-end development ideation and investment, provide critical insights for better go-to-market success and allow the business to ask the right questions before investing in innovation. Customer-centricity is difficult to achieve without a deep understanding of buyers. Buyer insights drive upstream and downstream value. Responsibilities : Identify and isolate buyers and buying committees, lead buyer persona development, and oversee buyer persona prioritization.
  • Sales enablement: Buyer's journey and sales cycle alignment - Coordinated sales knowledge transfer programs to avoid inundating sellers and maximize sales adoption across the sustainability portfolio. Responsibilities : Know routes to market - direct and indirect - understand sales organization structure, sales process and skills, sales funnel, etc. to establish a consistent sales knowledge transfer plan.


QUALIFICATIONS
What makes you a great fit

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communication, sustainability, engineering, science, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of marketing experience in promoting a wide-range of sustainability-related products, services, solutions or programs
  • At least 6 years of digital marketing experience, including management of campaigns/programs with larger budgets
  • Experience creating marketing plans around strategy, customer and market research, competitive analysis, standards or directives and regulatory framework, product/service requirements, messaging, pricing, etc.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with an eye for quality and attention to detail
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating across functions, businesses, regions, senior leadership and external agencies
  • Excellent facilitation, interviewing skills, project planning and management
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Budget management, negotiation, and financial analysis skills
  • Analytical mind and strong analytical skills
  • Able to understand technical and scientific issues and to translate complex information for non-scientific audiences
  • Works well in a matrix organization

  • Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $90,000-$140,000 of the salary range and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position.


All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. The target for this position is 10% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level.
We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
