Job Description
Enterprise IT (EIT) is an essential component of the current IT division that provides support to the Pharmaceutical Research & Development Division, Supply Chain Manufacturing Division, Marketing organizations as well as Enabling Functions.
The EIT SAP Platform Team is responsible for our Company's SAP Global Template asset, delivering enterprise-level capabilities through harmonized business processes and data. The team is responsible for the operation of all SAP and integrated solutions, governance of the associated enterprise assets, and cost-effective delivery of capabilities to support achievement of immediate and future state business objectives.
Within the EIT SAP Platform Team, the EIT Indirect Tax Technical Delivery Lead will assume responsibility for leading a team of Software Engineers, developing new solutions or enhancing existing solutions in the Global Indirect Tax product areas to address the core application backlog across this tax product domain. They will partner and build key relationships with the Finance Value Team Lead, and the Tax Management Product and Product Line leads to lead the delivery of our technical solutions for the company's Corporate Tax department. They will address emerging automation and analytical needs of the Global Corporate Tax Team. They will gain a deep understanding of the business processes, systems, and data that support strategic processes and programs related to our Indirect Tax product group. They will build a high-performing team of software engineers to deliver robust technology solutions. They will also share knowledge and mentor others in areas of technical expertise.
Responsibilities:

  • As the Technical Lead, assess the current state solutions and develop solutions that follow the greater product roadmap vision and deliver greater business value and maintain a secure and modern technology landscape.
  • Lead a team of developers to manage the application stack and ensure delivery on project backlog.
  • Utilize expertise in Indirect Tax products such as OneSource, Vertex, SAP Tax, Ariba Tax, Concur Tax, Compliance and VAT reporting and the core business processes supported to deliver solutions to the business.
  • Coordinate with client facing product management team and business stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet requirements and long-term strategy.
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of modern development practices and technology stack on the cloud.
  • Partner with other partner IT organizations to ensure alignment with Platform teams, IT architecture, IT Risk management, support organizations in delivering projects.
  • Contribute as a senior developer on critical initiatives, share best practices, technical expertise and collaborate and earn the trust and respect of the product team.
  • Demonstrate ability to focus on key priorities and lead and collaborate effectively to deliver on IT commitments.
  • Strive to be a valued member of the extended IT Delivery and Product team.


Qualifications :
Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience working in a multinational corporation's IT or Tax function supporting indirect tax technology solutions.
  • OneSource experience required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation, configuration, and sustainment of Thomson Reuters OneSource for Indirect Tax.
  • People Management experience leading technical teams.
  • Knowledge of the SAP suite of products and the interfaces required for indirect tax determination and reporting, including Ariba, Concur, and compliance reporting packages.
  • Strong technical experience in working with SAP ABAP development teams and implementation of custom solutions and integrations related to indirect tax.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end STS, OTC, FBM, and SCM finance processes and life cycles.
  • Proficient with Agile software development and, DevSecOps approaches.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrates an executive presence through good communication and professionalism.
  • Proven record of excellent performance.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, matrixed environment.


Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Vertex, SAP Tax experience nice to have.
  • Big four accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Exposure to SAP SD/MM and experience working on Finance applications is a plus

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected salary range:
$135,500.00 - $213,400.00
