Description and Requirements
The Role:
MetLife is seeking a Lead Technical Functional Analyst with chatbot and AI experience to join our Corporate Systems Digital Workplace team. In this role you will work closely with the product manager and will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our chatbot and AI solutions. You will partner with and build relationships with cross-functional teams that support various business areas and technology to deliver high-quality, innovative, and engaging conversational solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with the product manager and senior leaders on the vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Conduct user research to identify customer pain points, needs, and expectations.
- Launch and iterate on chatbot products and features, measuring and optimizing their performance and user satisfaction.
- Manage feature backlog and the end-to-end product lifecycle for the chatbot and AI services, from ideation and prototyping to launch and iteration.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and content writers across the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the product development process.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), support change management and communication.
- Research, experiment and leverage industry trends in Conversational AI/NLP.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- 3+ years of product owner experience owning roadmap strategy and definition, or equivalent.
- Exposure to modern AI concepts such as generative AI, various models of machine learning, large language models, conversational AI (chatbot, etc.) as well involvement in older concepts like automation, and robotics.
- Knowledge of chatbot and AI best practices, standards, and trends, as well as user interface design and natural language processing techniques
- Experience in efforts that require integration of multiple technology systems, operations, or processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and measure product success.
- Experience working in an agile framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field with 3+ years of work relevant work experience
- 3+ years of experience in developing and launching chatbot or conversational AI products.
- Experience working cross-functionally (product, design, engineering, usability, content development).
- Experience in implementing AI technologies such as, machine learning, NLP, generative AI, Conversational AI
- Chatbot Conversation Design / Wire-framing
- Microsoft Language Studio
- Experience with SAFe® Agile
- Experience with Azure DevOps
