About the role
The Revenue team at Human Interest encompasses Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, Customer Onboarding, and Customer Success. The Director, GTM FP&A, will support the Revenue Leadership team in all FP&A activities such as the budget process, topline forecasting, expense management, sales capacity planning, and variance analyses. In addition to being a strategic thought partner to the Revenue leadership team as the company prepares to IPO, GTM FP&A will be responsible for improving our reporting and forecasting capabilities, offer data-driven insights and recommendations, and provide financial oversight to ensure headcount and expense stay on plan.
What you get to do every day
- Own the FP&A support for our Revenue teams, along with financial and headcount planning, performance reporting, and partnering with the CRO and their direct reports. Ruthlessly drive sales efficiency in partnership with Revenue, Finance, and Data Science.
- Develop the GTM operating model as we scale
- Identify, define, and drive analyses to promote a deep and holistic understanding of business metrics, growth drivers, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes for the Revenue organization, including management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Support Corporate FP&A in implementing a new financial planning tool
- Act as the strategic thought partner to the Revenue Organization, helping to identify, scope, and execute upon new initiatives
- Support IPO readiness through managing financial metrics and benchmarks, preparation of supporting materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and mentor GTM Manager (one direct report)
What you bring to the role
- GTM Finance experience at a high-growth startup, including deep familiarity with SaaS metrics and models
- Excellent communication skills - ability to distill complex ideas into the “so what” and to influence across functions and levels in the company as well as with external partners
- Attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with big picture strategy
- Comfort with ambiguity: ability to balance multiple priorities at speed
- Intellectual curiosity: you take a proactive approach to solving known problems and to finding the white space around you
- Nice to have:
- Experience with the IPO process and/or public companies
- Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, Snowflake, planning tools

Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the US. The base salary for this position spans $180,000 - $230,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary that we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the US, their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall Total Rewards package. Depending on the position, additional compensation components such as bonus, commission, and equity may be offered.
