Summary: The Data Modeler will be part of the Data/Technology org at Onbe. The Data Modeler role is pivotal in crafting high-performance, scalable dimensional models for enterprise reporting application at Onbe. Collaboration with data architects, product and business stakeholders will be key success factor for this role.
This role is a hybrid role that will work onsite 1-2 days per week at our Conshohocken, PA location. Occasional travel may be required as part of this position. #LI-Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models for cloud-based data warehouses and databases.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide data modeling solutions that align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Report Developers other IT professionals to implement and validate data models.
- Develop and implement data governance framework including policies, standards and processes.
- Maintain and update data catalog ensuring accurate metadata and data lineage.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data modeling and cloud technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-9 years’ experience as a Data Modeler, with a strong portfolio of data modeling projects.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Erwin, Toad Data Modeler, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect, and Microsoft Visio.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure (SQL Database, Data Lake), or AWS (Redshift, S3, RDS), OR Snowflake.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, database design, and data architecture.
- Working knowledgeable of business intelligence/reporting solutions like PowerBI, Tableau etc.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Prior experience working in Enterprise Agile/Scrum teams.
Nice to have:
- Certification in data modeling or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer Associate).
- Knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.
- Prior Fintech, prepaid card experience.
The base salary range for this position is between $139,050.00 to $162,225.00, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand.
