We are seeking a motivated and organized Electrical Engineer to join an existing integrated multi-disciplinary engineering team building advanced cryogenic test systems in support of HRL’s world-leading silicon quantum dot technologies. The individual will be responsible for the design, simulation, development, and testing of a wide variety of specialized electrical systems and components. The candidate must possess a strong foundation of functional skills to contribute to the analysis, design, and characterization of new hardware systems.
Essential Duties:
Lead the design activities consisting of analog/RF electronics.
Analyze technical solutions and determine research paths to improve product concepts.
Perform electrical simulations using analog circuit modeling and RF design tools, such as HFSS, AWR, ADS, etc.
Develop electronic products as part of a cross functional multidisciplinary team.
Capture design requirements for electrical products.
Regularly coordinate with product development teams, suppliers, and engineering specialists.
Required Skills:
Proficient in circuit design and simulation.
Strong working knowledge of analog and mixed signal electronics circuits, electronic test equipment & techniques, and safety.
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Proven organizational and creative problem solving skills.
Ability to work well in a creative team environment.
Possess strong communication and leadership skills.
Required Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering or advanced degree with 5 years of experience with analog, RF, mixed-signal, or power circuit design.
Experience with electronic component design, modeling, and hardware development
Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $132,765 - $165,983 + bonus + benefits.
