THE ROLE 


The Associate Manager, Mission will play a crucial role in supporting and implementing sustainability initiatives within our organization as well as bringing our owned brand products to market. They understand the extensive details of sustainability and are familiar with ways to analyze market research and customers' behavior. Our Associate Manager, Mission will support the development and implementation of our integrated brand & mission strategy, as well as help us meet our sustainability goals. As an integral part of our Brand/Mission department, you will work cross-functionally with our marketing leaders, our merchandising team, and our product team. This role will directly report into our Associate Director, Mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Associate Manager, Mission will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into business operations & products
  • Support sustainability roadmap execution across key areas: Carbon, Waste, Plastic
  • Assist in the preparation of sustainability reports & presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and evaluate sustainability performance metrics, tracking progress towards goals and identifying areas for improvement
  • Support our Thrive Gives program and non-profit partner relations and events
  • Coordinate with suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders to promote sustainability throughout the supply chain
  • Work closely with our Brand team & merchandising team to bring new Owned Brand products to market 
  • Collaborate with creative, supply chain, merchandising, and member services to ensure seamless product management from ideation to consumer
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer rating reports/surveys
  • Conduct monthly reporting & ongoing competitive industry research

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in a high-growth startup environment and experience working with food, grocery or CPG brands
  • 2+ years experience in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and environmental management; working within or alongside marketing teams
  • Must have extensive project management experience & strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • Excellent analytical & communication skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data effectively
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for sustainability + bringing new innovative products to market
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; ideally in environmental science, sustainability, business administration, or related field
  • Strong computer skills including word processing, zoom, slack, Google Presentations, Excel

JOB INFORMATION

  • Compensation Description - The base salary range for this position is $65,000-70,000/Per Year.
  • Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and geographic location.
  • Total Compensation includes Base Salary, Stock Options, Health and Wellness Benefits, Flexible PTO, and more!
