Software Engineering Manager, Generative AI

Job Summary
We are looking for a world-class engineering leader to manage a team of talented Machine Learning engineers to deliver cutting edge LLM, speech, and multimodal technologies to production. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise performance and drive velocity. Leveraging cutting-edge techniques, you will play a vital role in our overall success in deploying state of the art AI capabilities all around the globe and help build a team of engineers from the ground up.
Responsibilities include
- Deliver cutting edge LLM, Speech and multimodal technologies to production while partnering with multiple stakeholders across product, compiler, platform and ML Research teams
- Build and maintain well understood training and inference LLM methods for productization
- Build and maintain application code used to run evaluations on various benchmarks
- Improve developer productivity by driving process improvements via automation or other techniques
- Build and maintain data processing utilities for LLM training
Skills we would like
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- 3+ years in managing software engineering teams
- Have experience with code review and helping unblock engineers by diving into technical details
- Experience with PyTorch or Python
- Hands on experience with LLMs, Multimodal, and NLP applications would be very useful
- People management or mentoring experience
- Project management skills: Prioritization, communicating across team/org boundaries
- Experience in a startup environment would also be very advantages
- B.S, M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or a relevant related field
We don't mind where you are located, we are open to hybrid working, we have teams in London and Cambridge currently.
