The AllConnect team is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our growing Engineering Team. You'll play an instrumental role in developing core consumer-facing products for internal and external brands. Allconnect's patented platform integrates with major utility and broadband providers across the nation. Your communication skills will help drive collaboration with technical partners and external stakeholders to deliver cross-cutting, customer-centric solutions.

The products we design and implement, include location-based broadband information, streamlined connections to potential providers, plan comparisons and more. We are all about teamwork, accountability, innovation, and a customer-first approach. We work hard but do so in a collaborative, fun, and flexible work environment.

The right candidate for this role will be highly-organized and collaborative; with a passion for solving problems cross-functionally. But you won’t do it alone — you’ll have a collaborative cross-disciplinary team of designers, product managers, and other engineers to support you.

What You'll Do:

  • Build performant and scalable APIs that power the Red Ventures’ broadband business to help our customers solve their broadband connectivity needs.
  • Build solutions that scale, are secure, and maintainable.
  • Integrate internal and external APIs performantly.
  • Active pair-programming with teammates when they need help. Help mentor and develop less senior talent.
  • Guide formal and informal code and architecture reviews.
  • Collaborate with the product management team and other developers to deliver a quality product that meets business needs.
  • Use a DevOps model, utilizing metrics and monitoring to manage our services.
  • Continually look for opportunities to build value in the codebase: set standards, build tools, and automate jobs to make yourself and your team better and faster.
  • Add to a culture that loves experimentation, Agile development, and intellectual curiosity
  • Be part of building a positive team environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in back-end development.
  • Proficiency in Java and Golang or similar programming languages.
  • Proficiency developing graphQL based APIs.
  • Experience building integrations with external APIs.
  • Proficiency working in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Proficiency in version control tools like Git.
  • Experience with Database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc.
  • Experience with telemetry and monitoring such as New Relic or AWS Cloud Watch.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Experience in unit testing
  • Experience with a CI/CD pipeline
  • Growth Mindset: A relentless desire to learn and excel in a tech-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Even Better:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • AWS Developer or Solutions Architect Certification
  • Terraform experience
  • Understand and know when to leverage various web services, software tools, and software architecture approaches to autonomously design scalable, maintainable, secure, and reusable solutions
